Rock café

Hoy os traigo un local de una pequeña ciudad de Letonia: Liepāja. A este lugar le tengo mucho aprecio porque tengo unas muy buenas amigas que son de allí y tuve la suerte de pasar un fin de semana con ellas en su bonita ciudad. 

Liepāja es conocida como la ciudad donde nació el viento y, además, tiene renombre en Letonia por sus grandes aportaciones al rock nacional. Y en este contexto tenemos el local del que voy a hablaros: Rock café, también llamado Pablo´s Place, entre otras cosas.

Este lugar es famoso en Letonia por ser el primer rock café del país. Consta de varias plantas con zonas para comer, picar, tomar unas copas o incluso jugar al billar escuchando buena música. Todo ello en una ambiente muy roquero con guitarras y vestimentas pertenecientes a roqueros famosos que han pasado por allí.

Además de todo eso, no podía ser de otra manera en un bar de rock, de vez en cuando se dan conciertos allí. Todo el local está lleno de curiosidades, se come bien y barato y el trato por parte del personal es muy bueno. Además es un lugar frecuentado por los roqueros de la zona, por lo que es habitual encontrarte algún grupo tomando algo allí.

Today I´m bringing you a place in a small city in Latvia called Liepāja. I´m very fond of this place because I have some very good friends who live there and I was lucky enough to spend a weekend there with them.

Liepaja is known  as the city where the wind was born and it is also very famous in Latvia for it´s contribution to Latvian rock. This said, I will introduce you to a place called Rock Café, also known as Pablo´s Place.

This place is famous in Latvia because it´s the first rock café in this country. There are several floors with various areas where you can eat, have a snack, have a drink or even play billiard while listening to good music, in a rocker atmosphere with guitars and clothes belonging to famous musicians who have been there hanging from the walls.

In addition to all of this, there are rock concerts. All of the establishment is full of interesting bits and pieces, the food is good (and cheap!) and the service is great. Also, it´s a place where the local rockers go every now every now and then, so it´s quite common to find them there.
