Fontaine Palace

Volvemos a Liepāja: la ciudad, como ya comenté, del viento y el rock. En esta ocasión os voy a presentar un lugar donde suele salir la gente cuando se encuentran en esta preciosa ciudad.

Se llama "Fontaine Palace" y es el más grande de una serie de locales que se encuentran junto al paseo marítimo de Liepāja. Este lugar se caracteriza por ofrecer buenos conciertos de muchos estilos musicales, ya sea rock, jazz, heavy metal u otros. 

No sabría definir muy bien la decoración del local, podríamos decir que es industrial, pero con toques de diferentes estilos que le dan un aspecto curioso. Consta de dos plantas y una semi-planta, y en ellas podemos disfrutar de los conciertos, bailar, tomar unas copas o incluso jugar al futbolín. La entrada es gratuita a excepción de los días que hay conciertos, lo cual es otro punto a su favor. 

¡La verdad es que había muy bien ambiente cuando fui, por lo que lo recomiendo para quien quiera una buena fiesta con música decente!

We´re back in Liepāja, the city of the wind and also the city of rock, as I´ve mentioned before. This time, I´ll talk about a place people go to when they want to go partying in this beautiful city.

The place is called "Fontaine Palace" and it´s the largest of a series of establishments that you can find along the promenade. This club is known for it´s great concerts in various music styles, like rock, jazz, heavy metal and so on.

I don´t really know how to define the establishment´s design, we could say it´s industrial, but with a touch of different styles which give it an interesting look. There are two floors and a loft, all in which we can enjoy concerts, dancing, having some drinks or even playing table football. Entrance is free except on concert days, something else which makes it an attractive place to go to.

There was a great atmosphere when I went there, so I highly recommend it to whoever is looking for a good party and decent music!

Coffee Inn

Hoy os traigo una franquicia muy exitosa en Lituania. Se trata de una cadena de cafeterías en la que podemos comprar toda clase de cafés para combatir el duro invierno que tienen allí acompañado de alguna pasta o galleta. ¡En verano los cafés pasan a ser cafés helados y disponen de una gran variedad de smoothies que refrescan el paladar rápidamente!

Vilna está plagada de Coffee Inn, ya que son muy populares sobre todo entre los jóvenes, debido a su decoración juvenil/estudiantil que invita a pasar la tarde sentado en uno de sus sillones con un portátil disfrutando del wi-fi del local. 

Concretamente, a mí me gusta uno de los que hay en la avenida Gedimino, el que está más próximo a la catedral si estás en esa avenida. Es el más grande de los que hay en esa avenida y tiene una doble función: cafetería y librería. A mí siempre me ha parecido una buena combinación eso de leer tomando algo calentito, por lo que me parece genial que unan estos dos conceptos en esta clase de franquicias.

Aprovechan los huecos de los ventanales para crear asientos con cojines de manera que queda una especie de cubículos donde siempre podrás encontrar jóvenes acurrucados tomando un café. 

¡Sin duda, es uno de esos lugares que es mejor visitar a que te lo cuenten!

Today I´ll talk about a very successful franchise in Lithuania. It´s a cafeteria chain where we can buy all sorts of coffee with a nice biscuit or pastry to fight the harsh winter they have over there. During the summertime the hot coffees are changed for iced coffees and they also have a great variety of smoothies to refresh oneself.

Vilnius is full of Coffe Inn´s due to it´s great popularity amongst the youngsters thanks to the youthful air it has which invites students to spend their evening sitting in one of their armchairs with a laptop and enjoying their free wi-fi.

My personal favourite is a Coffee Inn which is on Gedimino avenue, the closest one to the cathedral if you´re on that street. It´s the largest one on that avenue and it has a double function: café and bookshop. I´ve always thought reading a good book while sipping on something nice and warm is the perfect combination, so I think it´s a great idea to combine these two things in the same establishment.

In this Coffee Inn, they´ve created window seating with cushions creating some sort of cubicles where one can always find youngsters curled up drinking coffee.

It is without a doubt one of those places one should visit rather than hear of it!
